  Kentwood Prep Overnight Camp

General Information About
Camp Addington

 

Overnight Camp provides all the activities of the Day Camp at no additional cost.

 

Upon enrolling a camper into Overnight Camp, parents will be mailed the following:

  • Case History Questionnaire - Giving detailed information on camper's background.

  • Camp Questionnaire - In order to maximize the camper's growth and enjoyment, a detailed questionnaire is provided for parents to complete and attach any pertinent information to.

  • Priority Sheet - For parents to list their priorities in order of importance.

  • Authorization Form - Providing or denying permission for specific areas.

  • Medication Sheet - Times and dosages for medication (if applicable).

  • Academic Sheet - To be completed by camper's teacher.

  • Clothing / Supply List - Detailing all necessary and suggested clothing and misc. items.

  • Arrival / Departure Form - To fill out all relevant information for camper - dates, times, location etc.

 

Mail

Mail is collected, delivered, and handed out daily. Reserve toiletries and supplies are on hand and available for purchase at the camp canteen. Toiletry "kits" will also be made available for campers on overnight trips.

 

Pocket Money

Parents will be mailed a form with recommended allowances for campers. Checks for pocket money will be made payable to Kentwood Preparatory School, who together with the camper will keep track of the camper's accounts. Campers will keep a log of their expenditures in learning how to budget, and will not receive a new allotment until their logs are satisfactorily completed.

 

Telephones Calls

Parents will be mailed a form stating the best days, nights, times and numbers to reach campers. If necessary, parents can always leave a message for the camper to return their call. All long distance calls made by campers will be collect calls.

 

Parent Support

Camp Addington believes that parent participation is an integral part of the whole camp process. Unit leaders are in contact with parents to give feedback on the camper's progress and address any concerns.
